Get Your Kids Thinking Bike - Cycling is a great way for kids, who are old enough (age 10 is about right for most kids), to get around. However, it's usually up to the parents to reinforce this notion by not offering to drive everywhere. Keep in mind that bicycling is a handy way for kids to practice their traffic skills and prepare for becoming licensed drivers, too. To help motivate kids to pedal places, plan and show them safe bicycling routes to those places they like to go. And be sure to emphasize safety at all times.
